Last week I made Tape Singkong. Tape Singkong is Fermented Cassava.
It is a sweet & sour alcoholic paste.
You can used Tape directly as a food or traditional recipe.
The Cassava fermented evenly.
It’s been a long time since I ate Tape & I’m glad this time the Tape turn out very nicely.
Everytime I visited my parents I try to get some Tape .
We can get Tape from the street vendor to any supermarket.
This time with so much Tape in my kitchen so I decided to make Bluder Tape ( Fermented Cassava Cake ).
This cake is Cassava cake with Dutch Indonesian style.
225 gram margarine/butter
200 gram granulated sugar
300 gram Tape Singkong (Fermented Cassava)
250 gram all-purpose flour
100 ml santen ( coconut milk)
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Pound & grind the Tape with santan /coconut milk until fine. Set aside.
Beat the sugar & eggs until thick & fluffy.
Add flour, baking powder, salt together with Tape mix.
Pour to baking pan & bake at 350F for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Take it out & cool, then slice & serve.
