Batagor is a famous snack from Bandung, west Java. This is very popular street food around Bandung.

Traditionally made from Tenggiri fish meat but you can also use Mackerel or shrimp

Similar to Siomay except that it is fried instead of steamed, because being fried Batagor has crispy & crunchy texture .

Usually served cut into bite size pieces & topped with peanut sauce, sweet soy sauce , chili sauce & a dash of lime juice.

Just like Siomay, Batagor get influenced by Chinese Indonesian cuisine.

Batagor can be found in street side food stalls, bicycle vendors or travelling carts.

Last trip I get some Batagor at one of the street food stall. It was delicious as usually, crunchy on the outside & soft in the inside.
